Carnival Colors

I can't even remember the last time I was at a carnival or circus, but for some reason this skirt makes me think of a circus tent...but in a good way of course! As far as my tulle skirts go, this is one of the more subtle ones {well, in terms of poufiness and tulle, not the colors obviously!} Really, Asos can do no wrong...

{Atlantic-Pacific}

You know how there are just some people who, no matter what, always just seem to look stunning and perfectly dressed? These are the same people who can make even leather overalls seem slightly not crazy {though I'm still not on board.} Blair Eadie just kills it every single time. I can't think of one look that I haven't immediately wanted to run out and try. I could go on and on, but by now, the secret is long out and I am just one of many many many other girls who love her looks.

That being said, this combines some of my absolute favorites-- black, black and white stripes, 'Sex and the City' and of course TULLE. My full skirt obsession knows no bounds {other than my wallet.} Plus, I do love the thrill of the chase...its good to have goals right?

So its Friday, next week is a super short week, and its about 50 degrees. If that isn't enough to put a smile on your face than I don't know what will!

Fancy Friday

Fancy dresses make me happy. Paris makes me happy. A fancy dress in Paris? Well that's pretty much living the dream. I love the dreaminess of the all white, with the subtle floral pattern peeping through. With fall shockingly on the way, I'm getting my fill of fluffy confections like this right now!

It may not be the time of year for spring cleaning, but I really feel the need for a clean slate lately. Mostly physically, with a tidier and more updated apartment, but I think the old head could stand for some dusting off too.

Something Old, Something Borrowed, and Something New

I've been meaning to do a post on what I wore to my girlfriend's fantastic wedding last weekend but was hoping I could find some fancy high quality shots. Instead, I somehow I managed to not get a single shot of the head to toe look that wasn't a selfie. Whoops, guess someone was having a little fun!

Can we just talk about this dress for a minute? As usual, my amazing mom came through and let me borrow what she calls her 'prom dress.' It had a perfect retro vibe without being too over the top, and the photos just don't capture the detailing in the bodice and skirt. I can't remember the last time I danced/twirled so much!

Most of the jewelry (Again, as usual) was thanks to my grandmother's love of costume jewelry, so the only thing I had to buy were shoes. Not only were they crazy fun and made me at least 6 feet (love) but they were comfortable. I literally was jumping up and down in them and didn't fall once. I could go on and on about what a wonderful weekend it is, but that's not why you're here is it?

Fancy Friday: Tulle Edition

No matter how many times Friday comes around, it never fails to excite me. Friday is the best because its the beginning of the weekend and so still holds endless possibilities  It doesn't matter if my plans for the night involve a night out with friends or a cozy date with my bed, dvr and a glass of wine

While fancy things don't excite me quite as much as the appearance of Friday, they come pretty close. I've never outgrown the need for a tulle ballerina skirt, and it seems I'm not the only one!
