Retro in the Rain

Even though this dress is only a few years old, it feels very 60's mod to me, which is always a plus in my book. Oh and it has pockets, so pretty much its perfect. I have also decided that these Forever21 booties are my new 'rain' boots when its just a drizzle-- fake leather comes in handy sometimes! Other than that, its pretty much my go to's: {faux} fur and gold. You can expect to see a LOT of headbands, buns and hats until next week when I get my hair done, so I'll try to mix it up.

Imagining that I am some free spirited girl in 1960's Paris {because Paris makes everything} better is the only thing that is making this dreary weather tolerable!

Business on top, Party on the bottom

Even on days where I need to dress more business lady/conservative than I like, I can't resist adding at least a little something to make it feel more me. Big chains and statement rings are practically a uniform, so those don't count. Nope, I am talking about my badass Frye boots. I can't say enough how much Frye's {and good boots in general} are worth investing. I've had these for years and in spite of a 3-4 inch heel, it feels like I am wearing flats.

Going Green

Somehow summer came and went and I didn't wear this breezy maxi once. In an effort to both justify my purchase as well as mix things up, I did my best to bring this baby out before its too cold to even utter the word 'sundress.' In my head, adding blazers/tights/leather can make almost anything fall and winter appropriate...have I mentioned yet that I can rationalize anything?

Bomber jacket: John Carlisle Essentials {beyond old but try this or this}
