Pearl Party

I fell in love with this necklace instantly on Anthropologie...but then for some crazy reason didn't purchase it immediately. I rarely have the patience to buy anything on back-order {chalk it up to a love for immediate gratification} but this was so worth it. Its simplicity makes it all the fancier in my opinion, such a delicate but statement making piece. Of course, now the style is all over the place, but I still feel like its pretty timeless.

Dress: Zara {old but try this or this} // Coat: Teri Jon {hand me down from Mom!}

Necklace: Anthropologie {or try this Zara version} // Bracelet: Vintage {actually a necklace!}

Fancy Friday

More from MBFWA Streetstyle Day 4
{MBFW Australia}

While not the usual full length gown I tend to post, this dress is still more than worthy of the spotlight. The construction of it is so artful thanks to the cutouts...but also minimalist. Red lip, gold cuff, and sexy heels are all the accessories needed. It almost makes me wish I had dark hair {well, that I don't dye that is...} Almost.

Have a great weekend!

Loco for Rococo

Aside from my love for all things rhyming, the name of this dress really is Rococo, so there is some method to the madness. I've actually had this dress for a few months, but kept saving it for some future imaginary occasion...until I realized that was crazy and a dress this pretty needs to be worn ASAP. Not sure if I have ever gotten more compliments on a single item of clothing from COMPLETE STRANGERS {in a non-creepy way.}

Needless to say, this just further fueled my lust for all things Tibi...

Dreaming of Paris

This leather skirt is by far one of my best finds-- I mean, a vintage midi-length leather skirt for under $20? I thought I was hallucinating! I've had the shirt for a bit but never wore it much because the length was odd...until a simple knot made it the perfect length for the outfit.

The top has some of my absolute favorite things-- sequins, stripes, and not only a word, but a French word at that. Paris is always on my mind, and certainly in my dreams! Just like my rapidly growing sneaker collection, my graphic tee collection shows no sign of slowing!

Top: J. Crew {try this striped one, or this or this..but so many great options!}
// Skirt: Vintage {try this or this}

Earrings: Betsey Johnson // Bracelets: J. Crew

Nail Polish: Essie 'Mint Candy Apple'

Pastel Party

I found this dress at Zara last year for all of $20-- I wasn't sure about the cut but hey, for that price? It'd be crazy not too! Even though its tweed, its been a great layering piece for pretty much any season, plus, I'm a sucker for anything with gold studs (obviously!)

T-Shirt: David Lerner // Dress: Zara {this short sleeve Anthropologie one is oh so ladylike}

Cuff: Forever21 {try this or this} // Ring: Vintage // Nail Polish: Essie 'Lollipop'

Monogram necklace: Max & Chloe {Baublebar has a great selection too!}

Fancy Friday

Street Style Australia Fashion Week Fall 2014

I'm not sure if the Prada lip print started my obsession, but I've certainly loved clothes with lip prints ever since then {and one day I WILL own the Prada lip skirt....} Not everyone can pull this look over, but Nicole {as always} absolutely kills it. Baby blue heels and delicate earrings are the only accessories needed...um and killer abs of course. Definitely adding this to my closet lust list...

Not that you would know it from social media, but people are just a tad excited that spring is finally here. Oh and hey there are cherry blossoms too! Ok ok enough sarcasm. Even my normal sarcastic streak is tamed by the warmer temperatures. Feeling a little under the weather {again...grrrr} so nothing crazy planned, but I do hear a little bubbly calling my name...

Have a fantastic weekend!

Time Traveler

I've had this J. Crew tunic for a while-- its delightfully breezy and bright, but one of those lengths where its too short to be a dress {at least for work!} but too long to be a top. Its got this fantastic print made up of vintage travel posters-- whether its copies of actual posters or just based on them, I love the idea.
Retro + Travel + Fashion = automatically obsessed!

Top: J. Crew {try the French themed popover, its on sale and so cute!} // Dress: Madewell
Belt: Vintage Yves Saint Laurent {Mustard Seed score}

Bracelets: J. Crew // Nail Polish: Essie 'Fiji'

Fancy Friday

#spring
{Liz of Late Afternoon}

Are you tired Friday? Because you've been running through my  mind all week. I think I somehow manage to get cheezier every week, but seriously, how great does every Friday feel? Even the worst Friday is still better than the best Monday.

I love every bit of this-- hair, sunglasses, all white and lace...even the shopping bag compliments the whole outfit. I love the look of all white any time of the year, but the lace makes it seem perfect for spring. Sadly, until I am no longer a complete klutz, the possibility of my wearing an outfit like this is slim to none. Why don't they make stain resistant {cute!} clothes for adults??

This week has had some major ups and downs, but looking forward to some quality time with friends and family...and my bed of course :)

Have a great weekend!

That's a Wrap

This dress is one of those pieces of clothing that you've haven't worn in ages, yet never seem to be able to part with. Its been in and out of donation/consignment bags maybe a dozen times. Its not that I don't love it, but it never seems to quite work. For some reason though, I decided to dig out from the back of storage and give it a go. What do you know, it was just what I felt like wearing! Perfect to throw on in the morning and run out the door.

This again my proves my theory that if you keep something long enough, it always comes back around. I remember buying New Balances in middle school to wear with what were likely Gap jeans...and many years later I again can't stop buying them. So this begs the questions-- Genius theory or way to rationalize not being cutthroat about paring my wardrobe down?

A Stroke of Genius

No not the outfit, although I do really love the combination...I'm referring to the painterly brushstrokes of the skirt of course! Granted, I wore this less than a month ago--which I assume everyone will remember, though likely not at all-- but its too good not to put it on repeat

Skirt: H&M {Sold out, but some might be left in store!} // Sweater: Theory

Necklace: Anthropologie {also similar at Baublebar} // Ring: H&M
Sadly the necklace came after the pics, because it matched my ring perfectly!

Bag: J. Crew // Ballet Flats: Pour La Victoire

Swingin Springin Sixties

The colors alone on the dress just make me smile whenever I put it on, the fact that its oh so retro makes it one of my favorites. Of course, when something is this memorable you can't exactly wear it every day, but when I do it instantly brightens my mood...and most of the time the day too!
